Since their initial launch of the Crave Vesper back in 2014, Crave is a brand that, along with a (very small) handful of others, I’ve put on a pedestal—and for good reason. Crave is stylish, well-designed, sex positive, and now that we’re living in unprecedented times, Crave did something quite extraordinary this past summer: embraced transparency, calling it the new luxury.
What that means is that, amid the turbulent tariff situation, Crave let consumers see behind the curtain of their Crave Tease Necklace (which is temporarily sold out) to see exactly how components are sourced, where the necklace is assembled, and how that affects pricing. With that information out in the open, Crave then gave consumers the opportunity to choose how they wanted their necklace made, based on their budget and the timeframe in which they wanted their necklace delivered.
But before Crave became such advocates of transparency, they changed the sex toy game over a decade ago with the Vesper. While they’ve launched many products since, including other necklaces, like Vesper 2 and Vesper Mini, and the Tease Ring, it all started with the original Crave Vesper.
First Impressions
Like all their devices, the Vesper lives up to Crave’s impeccable standards. It’s beautiful, discreet, is likely to be the most fashionable (and pleasurable) piece of jewelry you’ll own, and is absolutely a conversation starter. Not only because people can’t stop admiring it, but as I realized when I got my first Vesper back in the day, when you tell folks about what’s actually going on with your necklace, things get really interesting. Fast.
My Experience
The Vesper shares qualities I love most in vibrators: it’s powerful, small, and easy to use (it only has one button). With that one button, I’m able to navigate my way through the three intensity settings, and one pattern option (it’s a pulse sensation, FWIW). While the fully charged battery will only get you up to 40 minutes of playtime, its dome-like tip that’s made for precise contact is really all you need—no matter where you might be using it on your body. And thanks to its size, you really can use it anywhere, across all your favorite external erogenous zones whenever the mood strikes.
Takeaway
The Crave Vesper Necklace is an absolute investment piece. It’s non-gendered so anyone can enjoy it, splashproof, so quiet that you can use it in a public bathroom stall and no one will know, has an adjustable chain, and it makes you look like a damn icon whenever you wear it. It’s also made of surgical stainless steel with nickel-free plating, and you can choose between silver and duotone. To keep it free from dust and other pesky particles, Vesper comes with its own velvety storage pouch.
When you take all of this, and include the transparency and honesty that Crave offers its consumers, it puts the brand and people behind that brand in an echelon of a very select few. In other words, it’s a must-have or, even better, a must-gift.
