Lily Allen has launched Love, Lily, a collection of six sex toys made with Lovehoney. The singer says she tested every product herself while on tour for her album West End Girl.
The lineup includes a butt Dot Plug, a few vibrators with different stimulation options and an advent calendar. The plug is a real-life version of the USB drive shaped like one that Allen released earlier, only this one is meant for use somewhere other than a laptop.
Per Attitude, the plug is pale blue with polka dots. The USB merch was a nod to the album's "Pussy Palace" lyrics, in which Allen sings: "Sex toys, butt plugs, lube inside."
The collection also includes:
- The Heart Duo: Allen calls it "perfect for travel because it is two toys in one," adding that "you can put it in your luggage and no one would ever know what lies inside."
- The Peach: "This one is super soft and pretty too, it's not meant to live in a drawer."
- The Womanizer Enhance: "This is the OG for me. I wrote about Womanizer in my book and it genuinely did change my life." She says the newer model has more intensity and vibration levels than the one she first used.
- The Lovehoney Pleasure Trip Wand: "It looks a little like a pink microphone. Maybe because it performs?"
- The Enjoy Calendar: 24 items unveiled across the holiday season. For couples, Allen says, it "takes any awkwardness out of choosing something you might not normally buy together."
- The Polka Plug: "Obviously, we created the USB drive for the album – but this is now the real deal."
The idea took shape on tour. Allen said in a news release, quoted by Attitude, that room service delivered "an enormous box, filled with Lovehoney toys to try out" to her hotel suite while she was playing the London Palladium. Charging them all took more sockets than the room had, so she unplugged the lamps, the TV and even the phone. "It ended up quite atmospheric in there, all those pretty little lights blinking in the darkness," she said.
Shoppers outside the UK should note that the prices on Lovehoney's site are listed in British pounds, per Exclaim!. Allen's collection starts at $44.99 and tops out at $169.
"Thankfully, people seem a little more comfortable now, but we still need to nudge that conversation along some more," Allen said, per Attitude. "It can only ever be a good thing not to feel shame about our own bodies."
