Lily Allen is not easing back into the spotlight quietly. For the launch of her new album West End Girl —her first in seven years — the British pop icon reportedly handed out butt plugs as party favors. And honestly? Mother is marketing.
According to The London Standard, guests left Friday night’s celebration with the cheeky little souvenirs in their gift bags. Best part? The butt plugs were actually USBs pre-loaded with the album.
The choice of merch isn’t random. Lily’s new song “P***y Palace” dives headfirst into the world of sex toys and messy betrayal, with lyrics about finding “sex toys, butt plugs, lube inside / hundreds of Trojans” and discovering a partner’s double life. The whole album is full of sharp elbows, cryptic digs, and emotional splinters that fans are already reading as commentary on her split from husband Stranger Things star David Harbour.
Allen herself told Perfect Magazine the record “could be considered autofiction”—a blend of truth and storytelling that leaves plenty of room for interpretation… and plenty of room for butt-plug-shaped symbolism.
Whether the party favors were USBs or true plugs, Lily Allen’s rollout is giving exactly what it should: camp, chaos, catharsis, and a little kink.
